Storks

Category: Most Outrageous

Description: Storks flying on the ceiling asking: "Does the stork really bring babies?' Fairy tales are often linked with wild animals. For the exhibition "Muttertiere," (mother animals) I played with the role of animals and motherhood.

This exhibition was controversial in Germany. It split viewers into two groups. The positive group liked the unusual way the topic was presented in three dimensional art between motherhood and animals. The second group hated that I linked a pregnant body with a dead wild animal.

Material: Acrylic, Artex Plaster, Prepared Ducks

Dimensions: 420 cm x 90 cm x 40 cm

Date Created: 2003
