Dave Parvin, one of the driving forces behind our artist’s guild ALI, passed away last Friday evening. His heart being filled with his generosities and his giving could no longer sustain him and he passed quietly and painlessly at his home in Aurora, CO. A memorial service is planned at Ft Logan, CO, but a date has yet been fixed.
I spoke to Dave’s son Bret Parvin this morning. He was in Dave’s studio telling me he was a bit overwhelmed about where to begin to sort through all of Dave’s equipment and material. I offered to help him and to shoulder the burden. We will take an inventory and offer his studio assets to our ALI members first. Unfortunately, during the last few years, Dave’s income did not exceed his expenses leaving his family surprised with debt. Bret is setting up an account for donations in lieu of flowers for those willing to help. Since Dave helped so many of us it would be an awesome time to offer a payback. I will have details on this information shortly.
