Topic Subject : Re: Mum and baby clasped hand cast |
|
Hi Issy, that's always a challenging age group to cast. Old enough to have an opinion but not old enough to understand. I usually put on cartoons on in the background, give them a chocolate biscuit or other treat in their other hand, and get every adult in the room to sing loudly near their face (nursery rhymes with endless versus work well). They are normally so distracted (or stunned) they hold still. ;o)
If you think they will never hold the mum's hand, you could try casting his hand separately and once you have the plaster, get the mum to come back (even if it's half an hour later) and cast her then holding the plaster hand in the most aesthetic way you can get the two together. It won't be a perfect clasp, but they would then be curled around each other and is a good compromise.
Best wishes
