You can cast it into Alginate. I have been casting it into silicone molds for testing it's properties. At The Compleat Sculptor, their web site says you have to treat the Alginate first with XLR8. One of their techincal people says they need to change their webv site as that is not true. You can cast directly onto Alginate without treating it first. They tell me they have tested it with the ArtMolds alginates they sell.
