Hi Ed
No, Guy is NOT a spokesperson for Smooth-On, I have never been paid
nor will I ever be "bought".
I do receive samples the same as you and other companies have sent me
samples. I choose their products because I simply like their materials
and never had any problems.
I am known as a silicone expert in the Fx industry and since the past
7 years, I have tested nearly all silicone impression materials except
for LifeRite (I'm still waiting to receive the sample), and given
everyone of them a fair thorough test.
The same with other silicone manufacturer and again I given everyone
of them a fair thorough testing.
I have recently developed and manufacture my own line of Platinum
Silicone paints called FuseFX http://www.fusefx.ca
My website is still under construction and will be open soon, (in a
few weeks).
I deal more with the Medical Prosthetists and Anaplastology field and
will soon be available to the FX and the Arts industries.
hope this clarifies and misunderstandings.
Take care
Guy

Hi Marilyn
Nice work.!
yeah, Smooth-On BodyDouble is great stuff. I've been using it for
several years and did over 250 lifecasts with it, never failed me. And
believe me, I lifecast in almost ever condition, from cold
environments to extreme heat, this is where you work fast.
Take care
Guy

New Work:--
Hi all. Wanted to share my enthusiasm and work done with Smooth-on
products. This is a latex full head. I have been casting with
plaster gauze and plaster since 1990 but this was a new experience.
Body Double was used for the full head mold with a plaster gauze
support mold. Smooth-cast resin was used for the positive mold and
then Rebound and then latex. The final latex mask is attached. Since
this is my first experience with these materials I wanted to share the
results. What a great product to work with. We were so pleased with
the results. There is more work to be done but I wanted to share with
members. These materials are amazing!!!
