I like doing 2 batches of alginate using the Algislo in between.  I do my initial coat of alginate concentrating on good coverage and air bubbles.  Then, before it completely sets up I spray on the Algislo, mix another batch and apply, only this time concentrating on getting the cotton on.  I find it takes some of the pressure off doing everything in one shot.
