Sure enough, looked up the USG PDF. And there's the silica. But look again.
It's less than 1% and they say they cannot detect it in the air. So unless
you are using a huge batch mixer, relax. I usually wetsand or rasp while
fresh.
It's nice to dry plaster the official hot-chamber way but hardly necessary.
All you need is warm dry air moving all around the new casting. I have a
boxfan in front of a heavy wire tray. Outside I have a few pallets and the
southern sun (the whole country now knows how that feels.)
