Thanks everyone. Someone came up with the idea of making a "frame" for a
table out of 2 x 4's and filling the hollow table with concrete, then we could
apply the art to the top, and finish by removing all of the 2x4's. The boys
could then make the frame and table themselves and I could oversee the art
part, but let them do the bulk of it as well. This is not MY project and I keep
reminding them of that fact. I am there for instruction. I do not want my name
on this project. My specialty is plain ole' alginate, hydrocal and plaster
gauze. If we get wild around here we'll break out the cheesecloth or burlap
and plaster of paris....lol.
Thanks again for your help, I'll let you know how it goes, IF it goes.
