Topic Subject : Arm or leg casting |
|
Anyone who has attempted to cast either an arm or leg by enclosing the limb in a tube and filling the tube with alginate, has probably had the alginate compress under its own weight. The result is most noticeable in the fingers and toes which flatten and look like duck beaks. I have come up with a solution which am only too happy to share. While vey simple, it is a little too long for this venue. I am writing an article for the return of "Sculpture Journal" magazine. If anyone is interested, I will gladly discuss the solution on the phone and/or send an email of the finished article. (720) 971-0824
