Many of you might have already heard, but I thought someone should pass on the sad news that Guy Louis XVI, one of the board of directors of ALI, and a friend and inspiration to many of us, sadly passed away from cancer this week.
I am one of many casters, sculptors and FX artists that Guy was kind enough to call personally on several occasions, always at his own expense, to offer help, advice and encouragement, particularly when I was just starting out with my business about a decade ago.
His knowledge and skill as an artist was only surpassed by his warmth and generosity as a human being. He will be much missed and always admired. I know many of us are better off for having known him and been able to call him a friend and mentor.
RIP Guy. You were one in a million and a lovely fella!
