Susanne,
I have made silicone molds for several years. They have varried in size from a couple of inches to 7 feet tall. These were used to pour either plaster or polyester resin with marble dust added. The larger ones used filler to lighten the weight. Unfortunately, I learned from hands on and not from literature. But I would be more that happy to try answer any questions that you may have.
