Topic Subject : Direct plaster mold |
|
Well .. I am going to give a 2 part direct plaster mold a go tomorrow on a woman's torso. Front and back. I have done lots of faces. I use a box or styrofoam tray around the face as a damn . .. to control the flow of the plaster . .and thus the edges of the eventual mold.
How do you folks make damns on the human form? I am thinking it will be water based clay strips. Do they really stick that well?
Has anyone tried this? I am not wanting to do the layer of alginate backed up with the plaster bandages . .. as I want to be able to press clay into this .
Ideas? Would a 4 part mold be advisable vs two?
Thanks in advance Debra Ulrich
