I agree with Dan. The direct plaster molding will put your model in severe
distress being incased in a full torso plaster mold. The plaster can get as
hot as 110 degrees F. Plus the fact that it takes a rather long time for direct
plaster to set. And the weight of the material.
You should ease into a breast plate or partial back using alginate, more
expensive than casting plaster but better results.
My early body casts in the late 60's early 70's were done with casting
plaster and they worked but were tough on the models. I was a hell of a lot
younger and didn't have a web site like this for information and feed back.
