I have received sever requests or information on how I made the rubber heads shown in my last posting. Be glad to explain the process. But though I have written about a hundred published articles, I have not written one explaining how I did this. However, I guess the good news is that I have written a series of two articles explaining how to cast a head in the round and make a secondary mold in silicone rubber which will allow one to make additional copies. Both of these articles are in the ALI Library.
The biggest difference in making the heads silicone rubber with a soft filling is that the secondary mold should be made of urethane rubber allowing one to cast in tin cured silicone without the two rubbers bonding together even without a mold release. I will be glad to do an additional article describing this in detail along with photographs though it will take a week or so before I can finish it. At which time, I will submit it to the ALI Library.
In the meantime, if interested, please glance at the articles and the call me at (720) 971-0824 and I will be glad to further explain the the rest the process and answer any questions before I finish writing part III.
