i will have to cast the figure (once complete) in more than two parts i imagine....it is a very complicated form ....the clay shim is definitely sounding like the way forward..
i was thinking of doing the silicon ..detail layer, building wall thickness layer, then with your locking method, locating the silicon into a fibreglass jacket...bolted at the flanges.....
i am imagining for a whole seated figure i will be able to cast one piece for the whole back area then use this to locate all front pieces of the mold.....face, torso, thighs etc
what type of mold release would you use....? to preserve maximum detail
