Topic Subject : Re: Implanting hair into silicone |
|
Hi
Martin implanting hair is quite a simple business its some thing we have to do all the time in the film industry .
I for one all ways use real hair which is surprisingly inexspensive hair punchin needles you can buy but I usually cut the head off a sowing needle ,start out with a big one for practicing then get smaller as you speed up .as for tecnique its all in the direction the hair is growing in .if you take a look at a mans hairy arm you will see that the hair lays almost flat and has a curl the hair must be inserted at this angle and turned or twisted to lay in line with the rest of the hair its also good to have a range of colours for a more natural look if your considering doing a head, its a long job so we generaly use a wig and insert hair round the edge to give that natural look beards well the same but to give that amazing stubble finish punch away merrily then get out the electric razor, if you do longer beards again mix your colours .to get the curl I cut leaghths about 5 inches it depends and curl them round some wet tissue thirty seconds in a micro wave should have them coming out with a nice curl hope this helps any one can allways call me for advice I am in the uk
cheers
