hey kristen~
I got a really funky effect last year when i mixed some plaster o paris and then dipped denim cloth in it. I diluted the plaster a little extra so it wouldn't harden on me 2 quick, but not 2 much so that it turned soupy. It was a soft cream 4 about 5 minutes and then started 2 set, if u wait 2 long it will start 2 crumble. I dipped the cloth in and made sure not one pour of the fabric was left dry, then wrapped it around my piece and was able 2 shape it the way i wanted b4 it hardened. If the denim was still a little soft, i would use the same mix of plaster and brush it on with a throwaway. The outcome ws beautiful and so true 2 life in look and sway. www.davicart.com click on the pic under the card and u can see the process.
good luck~ K
