Topic Subject : Mother mold |
|
Since we are on the subject and I tried something on the pregancy casting that I did last night, I thought I woud share.
I Totally agree with David, the fast setting plaster is also stronger than the plaster bandages,. in my opinion.
While we are on the subject and talking to David last night.. I tried using some burlap that I bought from Lowes it's very soft and floppy. It honestly took half the time to cut and apply it.
The alginate was thick enough and did not show on the cast except in one small spot on the bottom left side where their arms are so an easy fix. I also used it to reinforce the cast, it was easier to control where I wanted it to go especially over the embedded hanging wire.
I was curious to see if anyone else uses burlap for that purpose? any long term effects? I don't see that any mould would grow if it is cured thoroughly.
Comments would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Diane
