Topic Subject : My Kickstarter Project |
|
I have started my first Kickstarter project. It runs until 01/01/12. I'm calling it 'The Feeling Within'. You can check it out at
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/prymlurg/the-feeling-within-a-series-of-8
I hope you will pass this information on to anyone that you may think will enjoy it.
The Feeling Within is a series that visually expresses the inward feeling that may otherwise be hidden within an individual. I intend on taking 8 castings of female torsos and 8 castings of female facial expressions and modifying them. They will visually represent the inner feeling that a person may not show outwardly. Smaller pieces will be cast in Hydrocal, a light weight, extremely durable gypsum. Larger pieces will be cast using a cold cast metal technique.
This is a series of 8. The entire series of lifecasts will represent 8 different inward feelings including anger, love, pain, surprise, disdain, wondering, playfulness, and joy. Each one different. Different pose, different feeling, and different models.
After creating these wonderful pieces of art, I intend on placing them in several local art galleries.
Kickstarter is the world's largest funding platform for creative projects. Every week, tens of thousands of amazing people pledge millions of dollars to projects from the worlds of music, film, art, technology, design, food, publishing and other creative fields. This is not about investment or lending. Project creators keep 100% ownership and control over their work. Instead, they offer products and experiences that are unique to each project. On Kickstarter, a project must reach its funding goal before time runs out or no money changes hands. Why? It protects everyone involved. Creators aren't expected to develop their project without necessary funds, and it allows anyone to test concepts without risk.
