Topic Subject : Re: Making new mother mold from rubber mold |
|
Ron, my mother molds are made of Forton MG ad a certain cloth and are very light, mostly about 1/8 of an inch thick. Constructing a new mother mold is quite simple. Just cast a "positive' in a mold and remove the old heavy mother mold. Since the casing will keep the rubber in the proper shape, construct a new mother mold. In the ALI Library, I have a series of three articles explaining how I construct what I call secondary molds. Right before the tree articles is an article "Another Little trick..." which explains a really easy way to attach the rubber to the mother mold.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call me. You can pretty much reach me at any time on my cell. (720) 971-0824
