I believe another option in reducing a sculpture that could be more cost effective is to make a silicone cast of the piece with an evaporative thinner that causes the piece to shrink over a couple of days. I have not done the process but would recommend calling the manufacturer of the silicone Smooth-on or a Reynolds Advanced Materials and ask one of their knowledgeable staff members for details.
