Topic Subject : What did I do wrong? |
|
I completed two castings. I used 880 alginate to make the mold and plaster bandages to create the shell. I used casting plaster to make the finished pieces. I didn't notice anything wrong with the mold, but when I pulled the finished pieces, they came out with golf ball size dimples in them. I have done a couple of other casting using the same products and the same method and they came out fine. I know one mistake I made was that I didn't get the plaster shell strong enough along the outside of the left leg and it collapsed.
Any suggestions on what happened?
