Hey Lidia!
I have had the same problem you describe. I decided to pour over these areas a little thicker with the Silicone, that way, I can cut the "scrim cloth" in smaller pieces and avoid irregularities caused by impressing the pieces, and air pockets. Also, I trowel the forton on thicker before applying the soaked cloth for the same reason. (Add aluminun sulfate .01 percent to accelwerate the forton setting time for vertical surfaces).
