Topic Subject : Re: Cold Casting Metal costs... |
|
To clarify - I am cold casting with resin. I usually use Smooth-On products, but if there is a better resin or someone has a different recommendation, that would be great.
In speaking with the client again today, it sounds liek we are likely going to use nickel-silver, unless someone else has a suggestion to get an ultra-realistic silver metal look. Is there anything cheaper than nickle siver to still make a sculpture look aluminum-ish?
If anyone has some great priced nickel-silver suppliers in their repetoires, that would be great to. I am Canadian but live very close to the US border so can easily have products shipped to the states that I'll pick up myself. The price I see online is about 0US for 5 lbs nickel-silver.
