indeed, I used the fast curing alginate to cast the 'objects'.
the final casting is done with Crystacast plaster, not sure if it is just another brandname, but it's white plaster with a great durability, and very fine. after the cast has dried it is put in a tileform and again plaster is poured to get the endresult
I want to mound 4 seperate tiles on a board, they still will be lose, just held in place by 4 resin star forms that I have to make. In that way, transport is a bit easier, every tile can be packed on its own. All the boards together will form the art work, but I wanted to have the 'mosaic' idea of seperate tiles. having the seperate boards with 4 tiles on it makes displaying a bit easier too.
