glad to have found this site.
I am brand new to life casting and have been researching for several days now. as many questions as I am finding the answers for I develop new one. I live on maui so supplies are limited and classes are non existent. I see there are a few kits and a how to books I can order which will be very helpful.
can you all suggest a project for me to start with to learn the basics? a face, hands?
do I understand that I can re-use a cast made with plaster bandages but I am unable to re-use a cast made from the silicone?
if I want to mount a sculpt on a base do I just build up an area on the back of the sculpt, insert a rod? if hung from a wall just a wire pushed into the final mold?
thanks for the direction I can't wait to get started and hope I have at least half of the success I see here on this talented forum.
