Topic Subject : Re: LifeMold Alginate

Dear Janet,

I read your posting on the forum concerning your difficulty with LifeMold. We do have a toll free number 1-866-278-6653 where technical questions are quickly addressed. We have 100% guarantee replacement or money back whichever you chose – no matter whose fault.

Clumping alginate often means you are using hard water. Water with excess calcium, magnesium or iron will cause a cottage cheese or oatmeal mix. Try using distilled water.

Mixing alginate thicker by adding more powder will also increase the strength. If yopu are mixing to the consistecy of egg whites you are using far too much water.

SilFree alginate is formulated differently than our traditional formulas to eliminate airborne silica which is a health concern. The formula does take the alginate longer to strengthen than traditional alginate. So after SILFREE sets wait several more minutes before demolding. That will really improve your mold making strength.

Let us know much you purchased and provide an address and we will be happy to replace it. You also might consider trying our other formulations.

Also if you called us we could discuss the problem more specifically to get you up and mold making.

Regards,
Ed McCormick
