Dave thanks for your response. The top of babys thumb is actually missing all together so plaster is currently exposed on this section only. Dont have the broken bit anywhere to glue back on!
So i have to reconstruct it. But i wondered if reconstructing it would be successful at all without immersing in water like i would normally do on an unfinished piece. Will it ruin it if i put it in water, bear in mind there is paint already on it.
Im not sure of the exact plaster they have used so would it matter if i used a different plaster to the one they used, would it adhere ok???
