Topic Subject : Using plaster on the body |

Where would I start in my quest for information about techniques employed in using plaster directly on the body for my mold making? I know there are many other products that may be used such as alginate and rubbers but money is a factor at the moment so I want to use plaster to make my torso mold.
I have a lot of experience in mold making with plaster but never on the figure it self.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
