Topic Subject : Lumpy alginate |
|
I am new to lifecasting and have only cast a few hands, but I am loving it, and can't wait to try new things. I cast the praying hands of our vacation bible school preschoolers a couple of weeks ago using alginate donated by local dentists. I enjoyed it so much I ordered 380-cc alginate from accu-cast, and their liqui-stone. The problem I am having is I keep getting lumps in the alginate with both kinds. They are small lumps that settle to the bottom and if the fingers are too close to them it is a mess. I have tried hand mixing and using a paint mixer with the drill. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Tressa
