I hope all of you had as enjoyable a day as I did. I had the pleasure of doing a face casting of internationally successful Swedish model, Wikky. We cast her lying down with her hair spread out like a sunburst. Shown in the attached photo is only the raw plaster from the alginate (FiberGel) mold. I will clean this up, make a silicone rubber mold, and produce several different finished pieces in Forton MG and raku fired clay which I will post when finished. I am sure that most ALI members are well aware that this was not a difficult casting to do. But just in case anyone would like me to explain in more detail how we did this, I am considering writing an article on this for "Sculpture Journal" magazine.
