I use the Jaye cloth methood, and NO i dont have helper, i just ask the parent to sit the child on their lap, and grab there hand / foot. the beauty of the Jaye cloth methood is that your directly holding the hand / foot, so as they wiggle you can go with the wiggle !!
Its really easy actually as long as you remember not to squeeze... that can mis-shape the foot / hand, and give a mis-shapen final cast.
