Topic Subject : Vacuum pump for air traps in finger tips?? |
|
Hello,
I need advise on the following, please:
when pouring e.g. a hand with the fingers curled upwards towards the wrist there are always air traps in the finger tips. Even when pouring very carefully and rotating the mold... I tired a vacuum pump yesterday with fresh poured plaster BUT the finger tips still didn't fill up with plaster. What good is a vacuum pump anyways in life-casting ?
How else can I avoid this problem ? I am now thinking about a centrifuge. I used one for small pieces casted in silver. The volume this time, however, would be much more of course.....
Anybody ?????
