Topic Subject : Child hand holding a baby hand - advice please |
|
Hi all,
I am casting a set of four hands for a family (mum, dad and 2 children). They want to have the hand of the baby being held by the older child. I have already cast the babys hand and now plan to make the mould of the older childs hand whislt he is holding the cast of the babys hand. I've not done a mould of a hand holding an object yet.
When the mould is set and I withdraw the childs hand, will the cast of the baby hand remain in the mould and then I just cast round it thus it becomes a part of the completed piece? Or will I need to withdraw the cast from the mould?
Should I apply a release agent to the baby hand cast before it comes in contact with the new alginate?
Many thanks
Dean
