Well I donno about on a canvas, but you could easily attach it to a wooden panel, then build up plaster or gesso around the casting so that you have a uniform paintable surface... Just an idea- I haven't tried it but it seems logical enough. Hope that helps- I want to see if it works! Please post pics if you do it that way...
