Topic Subject : Working with Clay |
|
I have a strange question to ask, that hopefully, someone will have an answer for.
I want to create a set of “angel wings” for a sculpture of mine. I figure I will sculpt a set of 30” wings out of clay and then make a mold of them, to cast them in resin.
I’ve never tried anything like this before and I know very little about clay and its reaction to mold making material. Would I be better off using a water-based clay or an oil-based clay, and what type of molding making material would work best?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
