Topic Subject : Re: Re: Death casts - 3rd attempt to send

this is a strange post for me to reply to , i returned to scotland two weeks ago as my father took ill , unfortunately or fortunately he passed away 2 hours before i arrived ,

the idea of casting his face was there , will i , could i ,should i, i put the idea to family friends and they were ok with it and the funeral parlour were accepting of this , something that had never been done before

but quite simply. when he was lying there well dressed in the coffin ,it was impossible to consider it , it would have been disrespectful to him , and the formality of funerals

this is just my own personal experience

i have previously made enquiries and get the usual funny look , its not too common in ireland either , , tho i did contact an embalmer in a hospital who does three or four a year , and i would still go ahead with this if it was required ,

cj munn's post is excellent ,

anyone doing this would do well to read it , and try to do the work in the mortuary , far easier to do ,
