This where I get my lab (dental) plaster here in California. The plaster
comes in 50 and 100 pound sacks. I believe I pay less than .00 a sack, plus
shipping. The need out weighs the cost of shipping and I usually purchase
several hundred pounds as I know it will stay on the shelf for years
sometimes. Another thing to consider in where ever you live is going in on a
shipment of materials that might be used by local potters, sculptors, schools
colleges to help some of the shipping cost. Take more advantage of the
Internet when you search for materials, etc.
I agree with Dan about storage with any of the material one might use for
any process. AIR tight and MOISTURE tight usually leads to long shelf life.
