It's nice to see a face to Dave Parvin.... Do you put the copper into the forton mg?Just the first layer?
Here is one I just pulled from the mold a few hours ago.
It needs some trimming of course, they at first just wanted belly and chest and her hubby wanted to include her hips I wanted to add a little more and this is how it came out.
I used (splurged) on Silky Rock dental gypsum (3 times stronger than h-cal white.
I'm using this until I can get some Forton MG.
I tell them a few things before they come over, have something to eat, but limit what you drink. I will have a glass of water for them while we cast. I also have a spray bottle of water which helps them.
Where clothes you don't care about, where comfortable shoes.
The board idea looks good and also the tilting table might come in handy.
What I have been doing it getting them close to a wall where they can lean back, a rubber bottomed mat but soft for their feet, I put 2 high back chairs beside them and get them to actually try out using them so that we can get the least amount of movement if they need to use them. My girl today is a nurse, I can say she did very well.
I've had one girl faint, she was a real estate agent and assured me she was in great shape, she was but ANYBODY that stands in the same position for a long period of time without moving will have trouble especially the pregnant ones.
But don't let that stop you, like Dave said make sure there is someone else there to help.
In the case of the girl who fainted I think she said she didn't have anything to eat before she came over. Problably a combination of thing, middle of summer plus the heat of the mother mold. That's where the spray bottle of water comes in handy.
Some of these thing might seem silly but believe me you don't know what they are thinking, I've had someone so affraid of moving and wrecking the mold that I have to remind her to breathe.
The rest I'm sure you have read many ways on what to use and how to use it in this forum, good luck.
