Topic Subject : Re: Pregnancy cast

I've used a low pouffe type seat pushed up against a wall with pillows and cushions to form a slight incline for the model to lean against. The only problem I have found with this is that the model can slide slowly forwards on the seat.

You could also use one of those weight training benches that have a nice padded back rest that you can often change the angle of. The seat area is also padded and should be of a non slip material. That way the model will be sat down but the waist area will not be as scrunched up as they would be sat on a normal chair with a vertical back rest. I am planning on doing this and reckon I should be able to pick up a decent one through one of those free ads papers or websites.

Hope this helps

Dean

Pregnancy cast:--
Hi Guys

I am about to do my first pregnant life cast (next Wednesday )and whilst I understand the basics of life casting and making sure the model is comfortable I just wondered if anyone has any tips or 'not to do's ' they could tell me about.

If possible I would like to do her standing up but that would depend on wether she is up to it or not, plus I would have to work out some support for her. If I have her sitting down does anyone have any suggestions about how to make her comfortable. I have only got normal dining type chairs or a sun lounger . What does everyone else use?

Thanks
Ann
