I agree with limiting your first casting to something simple perhaps just the belly and a hand. Something even simpler might be a face casting, same method(except the nose) but smaller.
In the case of my model fainting, she had nothing to eat, when we are pregnant the body will take over and do what it needs to do in order to survive especially the baby. In her case it was warm, no nourishment, and the outer shell of the casting turned warm which the combination of that is what probably made her faint. .
That is why you should have a spray bottle of water to help cool them off.
I have again tried to attach a picture of my first belly casting and how they posed.
