Hello fellow lifecasters,
Apologies for not adding much to this forum - lifecasting is a love and hobby, and there are so many more qualified people on this list, I'm very grateful for.
This issue, however, is something I am qualified in. In all fairness, this forum was created years ago, and times have changed.
Today's e-mail providers will mark email as spam if they don't have a LINK at the bottom of every email to un-subscribe. The bigger email providers will also consider the number of clicks to un-subscribe when classifying mail as spam.
An email without an un-subscribe link at the bottom: spam
An email with a link, but requires you to log in to un-subscribe: spam
An email that takes more than 2 clicks to un-subscribe: spam
We all know this forum isn't spam, and as much fun as it is to tease the folks that ask to un-subscribe, there is a standard that isn't being followed.
That's why this forum gets manual un-subscribe requests and others don't.
I hope that's helpful, and I hope to one day have lifecasting tips to share.
