Neil,
This is not to say "I told you so," but...
This really isn't to say that I told you so because I was just guessing and assuming that WD-40 is possibly not skin safe. But I just so happened to go by my neighborhood Lowe's today and remembered that I could actually use some WD-40. We have all been told that there are only two tools one needs, duct tape and WD-40. If it's too loose, duct tape it. If too tight, apply WD-40. Since I had in my possession a bran new can, I decided to read the ingredients and see how much fish oil I had bought. You see, Neil, I have an artificial heart valve and my cardiologist insists that I take four big fish oil capsules every day. Perhaps I could cut out the pharmaceutical industry and do my share for health care reform. Well... As it turns out, there is no mention of fish oil at all in WD-40, only petroleum distillates with warnings against swallowing, inhalation, and eye or skin contact.
