Topic Subject : Re: pewter casting

Pewter is a tin alloy mixed with antimony and lead, maybe a little copper
usually 83-99% tin. Low melting, stove top, above 300 degrees F. Can be
cast into silicone rubber molds if the silicone is high temp. Because of it's
fluidity caution should be used in handling and of coarse the inclusion of
lead and antimony make it less than desirable to use without a respirator.
Because of it's lead content it will remain fluid for some time inside the
rubber mold. Be very careful!
