Topic Subject : Making a Silicone copy of a cast

Hi everyone,

I've just done a set of fantastic casts of a local up and coming Professional heavy weight boxers hands, clenched in his fighting fists ! They look amazing, with loads of detail.
The boxer is a friend of a friend, and i did the casts for free, just to have a practice on some more adult hands (rather than all babies, which seems to be my main business, but i'm not complaining!) but as they came out so good, i'd like to take a copy for myself, and possibly keep the mould "just in case" he is the next Big Thing in Boxing !!

My question is: How do i make a silicone mould of a fist, without destroying the original ?

Do i make a split mould, in a half n half box, or do i make a one piece mould? Comments & Views please.

What is the best material to use, and whats the likely cost going to be? I live in the Uk.

* i noticed that their is an article in the Library for casting in silicone, however i am unable to view / download it as my browser filters think its related to Nudity, Swimwear & Pornography! ( the filters are on my work system, so i cant change them... i work for a large multi national company.)

Thnaks in advance:

Adi
