Hi William,
My thoughts are that you should always be open to new ways of working & that every situation potentially requires handling in a different way.
If I have the luxury time & a relaxed client I will use alginate/body-double with a support. If speed is an issue, as we have had when casting athletes at press calls, a big bucket of alginate works great!
