Topic Subject : Re: Re: Re: New Lifecasters in UK

Hi Dan and hi Ali
well Dan we are having the wettest summer in recorded history over here and I guess that could be the problem
I have ovens that help even a hair dryer and a make shift box does the trick Ali it sounds like your making solid casts and they can take weeks to dry they are also very heavy and a laminating process would be better ,theres lots of info about try utube if you cant find it here if you want sites in the uk they normaly end in .uk as does mine
Dan is one of the most respected people in this field even though people are not in the same country it will be benificial to follow there advise

If you want some hands on experience there are lots of people here in the uk that can help I'm sure

kind regards
John

------------Silica-Free & Oh So GREEN------->

NEW! MoldGel SILFREE. A revolutionary formula.
Made with all food-grade ingredients. It nourishes
the earth when discarded. 3-to-1 mix ratio yields
twice the volume as those 1-to-1 brands. Delayed
shrinkage for delayed casting - so creamy smooth, too.

Ali

What do you mean by "a layering of stone"? Do you mean laminating

which i do by dipping fiberglass in Hydrocal and smoothing little
sheets into the first layer?
How thick are you English lifecasters working, that your casts take a
few weeks to dry completely?
