Topic Subject : Tilt Table

Hello all,
I have had such an enormous number of requests for the pictures of the tilt table that I made. It is much appreciated and I hope that it has helped some of you in your quest for this.
The material used were as follows: I got everything at Home Depot and JoAnn Fabrics
3 ea RIGID Flip Top stands approx .00 ea
1ea 2' x 6' x 3/4" laminated board approx .00
3 yards of naugahyde apprx .00
1 piece 2'x8' x3" thick foam, dense approx .00
4 ea 2" carriage bolts and nuts

I simply found the center of the board, drilled thru it and into one of the stands and bolted it on. Since these are adjustable up and down as well at angles it is perfect. I then glued the foam onto the board, upholstered it with the naugahyde, and then place the other two stands at each end to hold it all level. When you are doing a model on this, you can tip it at any angle vertically also. I additionally added a platform on the bottom for the model to stand on, and I cover mine with a plastic drop cloth when doing the molds. After I am done with the model, I place it back horizontal, put another piece of wood on top of it and viola--instant workbench. I also made a small wedge to place under the standing platform in order to keep it from tipping.

This is great because you can rais or lower it to any height, and change the angle on which it is vertical also. So if you are doing a reclining figure, this is perfect too!!.

Good luck all!! and Happy casting!!!
