Tri, yes, there are several DVDs or VCR tapes that show ways of opening eyes which I have copies of in my studio. I didn't find them all that useful but if you contact ArtMolds, I am sure that Ed has at least some in stock. You may also call me at (303) 321-1074 during normal business hours and I will tell you which ones I have. I do not have email at the studio, too distracting.
By the way, my usual method of casting a face is to make the positive from the alginate in plaster, make any corrections or modifications in wax or clay, and then make a silicone mold in which I cast the final portrait in Forton MG, resin, or wax if to be cast in bronze. The bad news is that in opening eyes you do not just peel off part of the eyelid, you must do some reconstructing to really look right. I find it much easier to add clay or wax to plaster than plaster. I have used life cast heads as starting points for heads for a mannequin company which required extensive modifications including opening the eyes. In that case, I used melted oil base clay for the first casting.
