Topic Subject : Re: support shell

well I guess you used alginate to mould as you mentioned the bandage as a support shell I always have it 4 layers and make ropes out of the bandage that go rouond the edge and criss cross to make the whole thing stronger and I always use Nivea cream and nothing else for release
I find this when applied properly will release most clothes
I also applie dry bandage to the alginate so the the alginate bonds to the wet bandage
hope this helps
go safley

NEW! MoldGel SILFREE. A revolutionary formula.
Made with all food-grade ingredients. It nourishes

support shell:--
hello, newbies here. just tried my first lower torso casting today needless to say it din't come out as expected. the casting came out very distorded. i use 3 layer of plaster bandages for the support shell. i don't think that was enough. my question is how many layer are you suppose to use and how long do you let it dry before taking it off the model. also has anyone cast a model with clothes on like a bikini. do you use vasiline on the fabric so it won't stick to the alginates or bodydouble silicone.any help is appreciated.
